RSV:
This autumn season we will be inviting eligible patients for the new RSV vaccine (respiratory syncytial virus). This vaccine will be offered to all patient aged 75-79 years old this year and then routinely to all patients over the age of 75.
What is RSV?
RSV is a respiratory virus that usually causes mild cold like symptoms but in vulnerable people this can lead to more serious lung infections like pneumonia and bronchitis. This vaccine is being offered to vulnerable patients to help protect them over the winter months.
We will be running a clinic for this new vaccine in September at the Allendale Centre. Eligible patients will receive invites from us from the beginning of August.
Flu Clinics:
We will be running our annual flu clinics at the Allendale Centre on Wednesday 9th October 2024 and Wednesday 16th October 2024.
Patients will start receiving their invites to book their appointments for these clinics from mid- late August.
